How to Claim Your MP2 (Pre-Termination) 2026

Planning to withdraw your MP2 before the 5-year lock-in period? This is a guide for a pre-termination of a 5-year lock-in period account.

Here are your options:

Option 1: Online via Virtual Pag-IBIG

  1. Visit the official Pag-IBIG Fund website
  2. Click "Virtual Pag-IBIG"
  3. Select "Claim Pag-IBIG Savings"
  4. Choose "MP2 Savings Maturity"

Prepare the following:

  • Accomplished & signed Claim Application Form (HQP-PFF-285) — check "Pre-termination" and indicate reason "Personal Reason"
  • Clear copy of ONE (1) valid government ID
  • Loyalty Card Plus (if available)
  • Selfie holding your valid ID (and LCP if applicable)

Then enter your MID number, click "Validate," and upload all required documents.

If you don't have a Loyalty Card Plus, choose "Release through Check" instead.

Option 2: Walk-in at the Nearest Pag-IBIG Branch

Bring:

  • 1 original signed Application for Provident Benefits (HQP-PFF-285)
  • 1 photocopy of a valid ID (bring the original for verification)

Notes:

  • Originals must be presented for authentication
  • Office hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Filing through a representative? Bring 1 original Authorization Letter plus valid IDs of both parties

My Personal Experience

I chose Option 2 since a branch was near us — no long lines, just get a queue number and say you're withdrawing MP2. I don't have a Loyalty Card, so I opted for check release.

Processing time was 20–27 working days. I received an SMS once it was ready for pickup — don't forget your Provident Benefits Acknowledgement Receipt upon claiming. I deposited my check via GoTyme Bank's mobile deposit.

For concerns, email contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph — they're responsive.

When Pre-Termination Is Allowed

Pre-termination of MP2 Savings is allowed under the following circumstances:

  1. Total disability or insanity
  2. Separation from service due to health reasons
  3. Death of the member or immediate family member
  4. Retirement (except if already a pensioner/retiree)
  5. Permanent departure from the country
  6. Unemployment due to layoff and/or company closure
  7. Critical illness of the member or immediate family member (certified by a licensed physician, subject to approval of Pag-IBIG Fund)
  8. Repatriation of an OFW member from their host country
  9. Other meritorious grounds approved by Pag-IBIG Fund

A couple of fee notes worth knowing:

  • If you chose compounded MP2 dividends and pre-terminate for reasons other than #1–9 above, you'll be charged a 50% pre-termination fee on total dividends earned. Current-year dividends also carry a 50% fee and get released separately, as a second release.
  • If you chose annual dividend payout and pre-terminate for reasons other than #1–9 above, the same 50% fee applies on total dividends earned, deducted from your principal savings — with current-year dividends again released separately.
