6 Steps on How to Claim Your SSS Unemployment Benefit

This is not a loan! It's a cash benefit that will be credited straight to your bank savings. No need to go to a branch to claim — all of it is done online.
Step 1. Log in to your My.SSS Account
Head to www.sss.gov.ph and enter your login credentials.
Step 2. Register your disbursement account
Look up Services > Disbursement Account. This is where they'll deposit the cash claim once it's approved by DOLE — it can be a bank or an e-wallet account.
Step 3. Fill out the application form
After your disbursement account is approved, go to the Benefits tab > Unemployment Benefit and fill out the application form.
This is the crucial step. If you're not sure about the details below, contact your HR before filling it out — it might get denied if the records don't match your DOLE branch.
Step 4. Wait for the notification to your previous office
After you submit your claim for Unemployment Benefit, it will first notify your previous office. Take note of your transaction number and preferred DOLE branch (found on your Notifications tab), and send these details to your HR office contact.
Step 5. Apply for your DOLE/DMW e-Certification
Once HR verifies the claim, you can apply for a DOLE/DMW e-Certification of Involuntary Separation. Only three requirements:
- Notice of Termination of Employment issued by the employer — or a duly notarized Affidavit of Termination of Employment if you don't have one
- Transaction reference from SSS
- Valid ID with signature
For NCR-based employees, file at clients.ncr.dole.gov.ph/isc. For Cebu-based employees, email ro7@dole.gov.ph or tcfodolecertification@gmail.com.
Processing time is five working days.
Step 6. Wait for the payout
Give it 5–10 working days for the cash benefit to reflect in your bank or e-wallet account. They'll notify you by email too.
Note: if you've been unemployed for more than one year, your claim might be denied.
