DIY: Mt. Masungi & Nagpatong at Tanay, Rizal

A same-day DIY hike to Mt. Masungi and Nagpatong Rock, mapped out from meetup to arrival back in Manila. Here's the exact schedule we followed:

Itinerary

• 01:00 AM — Meetup at Cubao Jollibee (Farmers)
• 04:00 AM — Arrival at Brgy. Hall of Cuyambay, registration
• 05:00 AM — Start trek
• 08:10 AM — Arrival at the summit (Billboard) of Mt. Masungi
• 11:30 AM — Arrival at Nagpatong Rock — rest, lunch, photos
• 06:29 PM — Back in Manila

Getting There (DIY route)

From Manila, hanap kayo ng jeep na may signboard na Cogeo — P25.00, then continue with additional jeepney rides that run roughly P45–P100 per segment depending on where you're transferring. All in, budget not more than P600 balikan for the whole hike.

• Trail snacks + packed lunch
• First aid kit
• Flashlight
• Extra clothes
