Seoul in April 2025: Weather, Cherry Blossoms, and a 2NE1 Concert

A short April 2025 trip to Seoul — we flew in mainly to catch 2NE1's live encore show, but April is also cherry blossom season, so here's what the weather was actually like and what to pack.

What's the Weather Like in Seoul in April?

A combination of rain and cold. It's chilly in the mornings, and then in the afternoon — when the temperature actually drops — that's when it tends to rain, depending on the day. Pack for it:

• Thermals
• A warm jacket and a coat
• An umbrella or rain jacket

For checking conditions I used the Apple Weather app, which was pretty accurate the whole trip. I also used Naver Map — it has live CCTV/traffic-camera feeds, so you can pull up an area and see the actual sky before you head out.

Cherry Blossoms at Seokchon Lake

Mid-April is still cherry blossom season, so pack a few nice outfits and head to Seokchon Lake (석촌호수), the walking loop right beside Lotte World in Jamsil. The blossoms ring the whole lake and it's free.

Why We Went: 2NE1's Live Encore

The whole reason for the trip was 2NE1's "Pretty Boy" live encore — watching them perform has been a childhood dream of mine. It was so good, and the live band was excellent. It was a short stay built around this one night, and worth it.

What to Pack for April

• Thermals, a warm jacket, and a coat — mornings are cold, afternoons can turn rainy
• Umbrella or packable rain jacket
• One or two nice outfits for cherry blossom photos
• Comfortable shoes for the Seokchon Lake loop
