Upside Down Experience at The Upside Down Museum, Pasay City

This museum surely will take your tummies upside down!

We recently visited The Upside Down Museum at Boom Na Boom Grounds, CCP Complex, Roxas Blvd, Pasay — right in the same area as Star City, so it's easy to pair the two in one trip. The whole concept is built around optical illusion rooms designed specifically for photos, and creativity is basically the whole point of the visit.

A few of our favorite shots from the day:

  • "What's Up Hello Kitty?" — an upside-down Hello Kitty room that's smaller and cuter in person
  • "Hey Monalisa!" — a classic-art-meets-illusion setup that photographs surprisingly well
  • "Aim for the Food!" — a giant-food room that makes for the funniest pictures of the day

Good to Know

  • Entrance: P450 for full day access, or P599 combined with Star City rides (conditions may vary, so double-check at the counter)
  • Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM to 9 PM. Closed Mondays.
  • Amenities: Air-conditioned throughout, with a mini cafe if you need a break between rooms
  • Photography markers are placed around each room to help you find the best angle — use them, they actually work

Final Thoughts

Great bonding activity if you're going with friends or family — everyone ends up laughing at how ridiculous the photos turn out. Bring a camera (or a fully charged phone) and a bottle of water, and budget at least an hour and a half to get through every room properly.
